The Packaging & Performance knowledge group has a vast amount of expertise in food technology, materials science and corrosion technology. These fields of expertise are vital when researching the quality of packaging and packed products. Quality and food safety are of course a high priority for our customers.

Test packing is a powerful tool to predict the shelf life of (packaged) foods and to evaluate shelf life performance of packaging concepts. At the Centre for Packaging Technology, we have several facilities where we are able to fill, seam, process and store cans, and where we can analyse the packed product and packaging during its lifecycle.
