Corus Packaging Plus produces the widest range of high quality steels for packaging, including tinplate, tin-free steel and polymer-coated material. Our packaging steels meet all the necessary requirements related to strength, surface finishes and forming properties. Naturally, these requirements vary according to the nature of our customers’ production processes and the ultimate purpose of the packaging. We supply specialised minimum earing and deep drawing qualities, polymer-coated steels, ‘wide’ DWI (Drawn and Wall Ironed) / DRD (Draw Redraw) quality capability and clean cast steels. These steel grade developments make can production processes more cost effective, and result in less spoilage, fewer rejects and less wear on tools.
