Steel’s unique material properties are the foundation of our excellent sustainability performance. Its magnetic properties make it easy and cheap to recover steel scrap from the waste stream.
Its infinite recyclability - without loss of material quality - has made steel the most recycled packaging material in Europe. This is good news for the environment, since the higher the recycling level, the lower the CO2 emissions. Every bit of steel packaging recycled saves twice its weight of CO2 emissions. All this makes the next can produced more CO2 efficient.
